We are committed to assisting all our customers no matter what range of needs they may have to come visit us at the Liberty Hill Inn. With that in mind – anyone who has trouble with booking a room at the Inn on our web-site or any part of our web-site, should always feel free to call us at 508-362-3976. That would include 24 hours a day – 7 days a week. The best times to call would always be from 10 AM to 9 PM (EST).

We are also committed to ensuring website accessibility for people with disabilities, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

We have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA to make our website a positive place for everyone.

Additional Steps:

With our reservation system software company (Innroad) we have reached out and received this statement to make sure those we use are also ADA Compliant they responded to our request with this statement:

“Regarding your inquiry about ADA Compliance, we have looked into this and found that there is not a specific certification of compliance we can get. What we have found are best practice guidelines to meet for this.

Using the Google Accessibility Auditor, we have found that improvements could be made to our Booking Engine to make it more ADA compliant. We are actively working on enhancing our features to meet guidelines set by this auditor, and we expect this to be done by the end of May. We will keep you updated if this expected timeline changes.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns in the meantime

Best regards,
Brandon”

InnRoad has updated the booking engine for ADA compliance.  While there is no governing body that provides an official ADA certification, we have taken significant actions to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, provided by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) including:

  • Adjust contrast ratios of text
  • Add image alternative text descriptors
  • Ensure all buttons, form fields and links are identifiable by screen readers with proper labels
  • Programmatically manage the focus (to ensure screen readers know when something has changed on the screen)
  • Add link to skip navigation header
  • Update the focus order, highlight the focused element of the page and ensure user can navigate the page with keyboard

How are we doing?

Since we are actively working towards our goal, we realize there are some areas that need improving. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, we ask you to contact us immediately and let us know so that we can make all reasonable efforts to remove the barrier or provide alternate access to the same information.

We are very happy to be a bed and breakfast that has the ability to accommodate many people with physical challenges. We have our Elizabeth’s Garden room that can accommodate other physical challenges. The room has the ramp into the building from the parking lot, and a wheelchair roll-in shower. The shower has a transfer seat and grab bars. The bathroom has a sink that is the correct height for wheelchair accessibility.

Our portable ramps to the Main House have accommodated numerous guests with physical challenges. The Main House front doors on the first floor are over 32″ wide.
